Ready for the beach...

My daughter and I decided to make a few shirts to take along to the beach.  So she picked the colors, animals, and fabric.  She is a little me in the making.  So cute to see her trying to pick out the fabric to go with each animal.   This is the shirt she picked for her little sister.  She was so excited to find it this morning she wanted to put it on right away.  We also made a dolphin shirt.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all Fathers!  Hope you get to do something fun!  My girls gave their Daddy his favorite candy bars wrapped up in a ribbon with a special tag.  He had two of them for breakfast!

hair bows for the 4th

Here are some hair bows I made for my girls for the 4th of July.  Hopefully my girls will wear them.  My oldest will still let me put them in her hair.  I love to make bows!  If I had a dog, she would have hair bows too!  :)  They are super easy to make.  My friend Amy showed me how to make them in about two minutes.  You can also find lots of things on You Tube on how to make bows.  Ribbon can be expensive.  My friend Jennifer gets her ribbon from a ribbon outlet in Maryland.  It is so much fun to see how much ribbon she gets for a little bit of nothing.  I hope to get to the ribbon outlet sometime this summer.  You can never have enough ribbon!

a day at the safari park...

took the day off from sewing to take my girls to the Safari Park in Natural Bridge, Va.  It was so much fun.  We got to feed birds, llamas, pigs, zebras, and whole bunch of other animals.  Such a neat place to go!

2 littlie birdies

Tie for the little man

Happy Fourth of July!

I love the fourth of July.  This is the shirt I made for my girls this year to wear at our annual parade.  We go to my husband's hometown every year to celebrate.  There is a huge parade followed by Uncle Johnny's chicken and fireworks!  Would love to hear how everyone else celebrates!
